Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Peter WhatsApp Manager (“Peter”) stores, why, and what control you have. Plain answer first: your customer chats are stored only to show them to you and your team in your inbox. We do not sell data, we do not read your chats for advertising, and we do not message anyone without an action from you.
1. What we store
- Account data: your name, email, and business name (via our sign-in provider, Clerk).
- WhatsApp messages of your connected business number: text, the images and files you receive, and delivery status, so your inbox works. Recent messages are kept, and images and files you receive are stored so your inbox and customer cards keep showing them; we never read them for advertising.
- Customer records you create: names, numbers, notes, reminders, tags.
- Voice-note transcripts when you use transcription (processed by Groq, an AI transcription provider; audio is not retained by us after processing).
- Technical logs: webhook events, error reports, and audit records that keep the Service reliable and let us investigate problems.
2. Where it lives
Data is stored on Convex (our database provider) and Cloudflare (hosting), on cloud infrastructure. The WhatsApp link runs through gateway servers we operate. Payment details are handled entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store your card or UPI credentials.
3. Who can see it
- You and the team members you invite; nobody else’s business can ever see your data (every record is isolated per business, enforced server-side).
- Our service providers (Convex, Cloudflare, Clerk, Razorpay, Groq) process data only to provide their function.
- We may access your data only to fix a problem you report, or when the law requires it.
4. What we never do
- Sell or rent your data or your customers’ data.
- Send messages from your number without an explicit action in the app by you or your team.
- Use your chats to train AI models.
5. Retention and deletion
- Deleting a customer in the app permanently removes their record, conversations, messages, and notes.
- To delete your whole account and all business data, email [email protected] from your account email; deletion is completed within 30 days and confirmed to you.
- Backups age out on the infrastructure providers’ standard schedules.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion at any time by email. We comply with applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify account owners in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
